Chateau Ste Michelle, Washington State
Very nice experience despite being a very busy Saturday. Amy Franks, the guest service assistant manager was a joy and showed us a great experience. She said that the tasting room was a manageable busy, although we thought it very busy. We appreciated taking time to talk to us and educate.
We asked to taste products that are not normally seen on the market and learned that they have a white label series which can only be purchased at the tasting room. We found all the products to be bright and very easy drinking. Enjoyed a artist series red wine (pictured) with commissioned artist label. All of these had great burgundy color and a nice aromas.
As a bubbly afficionado, I had to try the champagne. Amy had us try Luxe, a three year aged Traditional Méthode. It was easy drinking with crisp fruit and it $25 was a deal.
Food is also available and we had enjoyed a tasty bistro-like panini sandwich and a pizza.
The Chateau Ste Michelle products are supplemented by a partnership with importers at Enoteca and Cool Solare who offer separate tasting room experience is on site.
It’s definitely an educational place to visit. They offer a blending class, a sensory tasting experience, and tours of the facility.
A very nice first visit in the state of Washington. Thank you Amy and Hilary
