W We had the pleasure of a private tour with the winemaker, Karen Krug. Great story that they couldn't use Krug as their wine name since it's taken by the big champagne house so they went with spoiled dog. We didn't get to meet the dog but learned he has the run if an inner island spot

Close to the ferry this is a stop that I'm sure pleasures many island growers. Sean took care of us and showed us a number of their products.Like we learned at spoiled dog there is a grape that this island produces that unique called Siegerrepe (see photo), this is very similar to a Riesling with a lemon curd taste. They also presented a Pinot Gris, Dolcetto, Cab Franc, sangiovese, Malbec and primitivo. We like the ladder in definitely took a bottle with us, so thanks Sean for opening it.

It's hilarious to go into a offshore Seattle island and meet somebody from Cuyahoga falls Ohio, which is what happened at the island wine shop. Tasted a few wines too. Really enjoyed Aligote by Shooting Star and bought two bottles. It's like a sugar cube with lemon or lemon sweet tart. City Limits chardonnay from Columbia Valley, pridyced in stainless steel was light and fruity. Cedar Green Cellars produced a Gamay Noir rose that was very interesting. The Starside cab was also very fruity and easy drinking, as was the Erica Orr Grenache. What we can say we've learned most is Washington wines are clean, pure and crisp without negative aftertaste. Nice
