In partnership with Chateau Ste Michelle, this winery produces Red Mountain big grape products. We did a vertical of the cabernets and also tasted the cab franc and the Malbec, pictured. we find a taste in them that is distinctive possibly from the limestone. Each one had huge tannins and acidity and the fruit was aromatic but not as fruit forward and its flavors. Thanks Cherie for sharing your knowledge of the terrior and the big wine.

Up in the southern Valley of Walla Walla and a long drive to find a couple of wineries.  Extremely overcast foggy day with frost all over all growth so it shows us the cool times. They explained that there were many days of hundred degrees and then drop cold at night with frost. That's what we're seeing. The fog inversion apparently it's pretty common too. The wines are classic to Washington -- high acidity, red to black fruit which state bright. I attribute that to cool nights keeping down grape ripening into darker black fruit. They stay acidic but have high tannins and deep burgundy color. Everything at Northstar

Very much enjoyed Leanne who is very educational and fun in her presentation. Same flavor pallet of the area, big beautiful burgundy red color, high tannin and acid, bright fruit with a long velvet finish and no negative finish. For us we found that there wasn't the depth of a big load a jammy Zinfandel however they were very easily drinkable.this was evidenced by the fact that we already in just a day have a case of wine to send home. Great 14 Hands experience, thanks Leanne.

Very nice experience despite being a very busy Saturday. Amy Franks, the guest service assistant manager was a joy and showed us a great experience. She said that the tasting room was a manageable busy, although we thought it very busy. We appreciated taking time to talk to us and educate. We asked to taste products that are not normally seen on the market and learned that they have a white label series which can only be purchased at the tasting room. We found all the products to be bright and very easy drinking. Enjoyed a artist series red wine (pictured) with commissioned artist label. All of these
